STORIES OF INSPIRATION AND EMPOWERMENT

SAMSON’S FARM

Samson loves to work with his hands — whether in work or play. The 22-year-old is a member of Horizon’s Inheritance Program, where he’s honing his agricultural skills. Farming is one way Samson gives back to his community: he sells his crops both in and out of his community, Baba Nyumbani.

Samson’s love for agriculture benefits his community, where he’s farm manager of his family’s plot. He also finds joy in bringing happiness to younger kids in the community — and he does it in an enterprising way.

Samson wires small

With a little handiwork, Samson turns scrap wires into toy cars for the children, and even clothes hangers too!

We’re cheering Samson on, and support his plans to attend an agriculture program in college.
