STORIES OF INSPIRATION AND EMPOWERMENT

ONWARD AND UPWARD

University programs are just one option for children graduating high school. When the children in our Horizon: Empower the Orphaned programs graduate high school, they can enter the Inheritance Program: a place of mentorship where the young adults can choose a path in trade school, college education, or receive help in starting a business. The inheritance program is a unique aspect of our care, and this year was certainly no exception! Eleven students started their University journeys in diverse studies: everything from business and engineering to information technology and design. Congratulations to Jerry, Micah, Abigael, Celestine, Janet, Bianca, Samson, Pauline, Maurine, Sharon and Irene for all their hard work!

There was also one student, Florence, who recently graduated with a degree in food production.

We’re so proud of Florence and the 11 other students! We strive for long-term sustainability in all we do, and seeing these young women embark on their own journeys is a big step toward Horizon’s self-sustainable future.
