NEED & IMPACT

The Moano Light community is grateful to have a new farm truck to assist them in their community needs. Before this, Moano Light used their small school van to complete farm tasks. This meant unscrewing and stripping all the chairs from the van to create room, costing valuable time, and causing damage to the vehicle each time. With the new farm truck, the farmers will be able to complete a wide variety of farm tasks including carrying large loads in the back and pulling a trailer around the fields. Moreover, they will find it simpler and more convenient to use their pickup truck to carry tools and supplies around the farm. Another use of the truck is to transport farm produce, such as vegetables, eggs, green or dry corn to the market. When not in use internally, the truck can be hired out (at a fee) to transport farm material within the community.
