NEED & IMPACT

Physical activity is vital to a child’s development. Not only does recreation and competition allow children to thrive physically, but learning rules and being part of a team provide unique opportunities for emotional growth and relational maturity. As with most of the countries we serve, soccer (or in this case, fútbol) is an extremely popular sport. Thanks to a generous donor, there is now a new sports area, which includes a basketball and volley ball court as well as a small-scale soccer field, but there is still a need for an official-size field to hold local and regional competitions. This project would allow the community of La Providencia to upgrade their facilities to attract and serve more children in the community.
